Locally Grown Market

WOW What a Week!! So much going on, people returning, new people signing up & lots of great things to choose from this week!!

Welcome Back Molly’s Sweet Shop!! We have all missed you!

Ann Brown has a great Culinary Basket of herbs. What a wonderful gift for the cook in your family or even for you!

Baking Delights has changed their recipe for multigrain bread just a little. It is now Gluten FREE!! And in case you forgot like me, it has no white flour in it and local raw honey instead of sugar. It is amazing and I can only imagine what the Martin’s flavored creamed honey would taste like on it!!

Welcome Betty Merrell and Goodness Sake for joing our community. Betty has the best natural Laundry detergent scented with pure essential oils. She also has a great Natural Body Powder/Dry Shampoo and wonderful Organic Pink Grape Juice.

Keel Produce still has apples. Thankfully! Don’t know what I will do when he runs out! I have 2 English Mastiff “puppies” who eat 3-4 apples a day. They really like the Arkansas Blacks & Pink Lady (think thats the right one). I think we need an apple orchard of our own!

A great recipe for apples that is a sweet treat coming into the holidays, yet still healthy.

* Slice apples thin * Mix Agave, Cinnamon & Nutmeg in a wide bottom bowl. * Soak the apples for a few minutes in the “sauce” and Dehydrate.

Hope everyone has a Great Weekend! See you Tuesday!

Here’s this weeks Market…

Locally Grown Market

Hi! Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving! What a blessing it is to be able to be with family & friends no matter how big or small the gathering. There were just 5 of us at our house, but we played games, ate way too much and truly enjoyed each other’s company. I am so grateful.

If you haven’t been to the market yet, what a wonderful week this looks to be. Karen from Petalland has a couple gorgeous wreaths she has added. Both greenery & dried eucalyptus, its hard to choose or maybe I will just have to get both!!

Baking Delight’s continues to add new creations to their menu. This week they added Honey Wheat Bread. This past week they brought samples to the market of a multigrain bread that they have made without any white flour and wheat gluten!! It was fabulous!! Add a little locally grown honey, either regular or creamed and it woudl be out of this world!!

As you are out shopping for the holidays,Don’t forget gift certificates and/or products from the Locally Grown website!! What amazing gifts that people will remember for years to come!! And you are helping the local community at the same time!!

Look forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday. We will be here until 7pm Tuesday night, but note that if you come to pick up after 5:30 there will be a yoga class (that you are welcome to join!) going on in the big room, so I will put your products in the hallway in the train seats with your invoice. I will be in the class but if you need anything I will be able to help you too.

I am grateful for how all of you have touched my life – Thank You!!

Here’s whats on the market this week…

This Week's Market

Good Morning! Due to the holiday next week we are moving the market pick up day to Tuesday Nov 25th from 4:30-5:30pm. We will continue with Tuesday pickup throughout the winter months.

Some great new things on the market this week and all the other great goodies!! Sandy & George Martin have added some fabulous beeswax hand lotions, foot lotion and creamed honey. These are all great products.

Lets talk about Ann Brown’s “Earthquake Cake”. It looks like something I would make, but knowing Ann it tastes 500% better than anything I have ever made!! I better get my order in QUICK!!

Don’t forget we have Gift Certificates which are great for gifts for families and single people alike. Sharing the gift of locally grown/produced products!!

Here is the market for this week. Don’t forget ordering stops at 10am on Monday. I’m sure you can find a few things you need for the holiday dinners!!

IMPORTANT: Pick Up Day Change

According to the responses from the survey, most are happy with the Pick Up day change, so starting next week, we will have our pick up day on Tuesday November 25th from 4:30-5:30pm. We will continue Tuesday pickup days through out the winter and then see what the Spring brings us.

Thank You all for your speedy responses.

Ordering is available from Tuesaday morning through the next Monday at 10am, so don’t let this week fool you.

Order your breads and cakes early for the holidays!!

I am so grateful we can work so wonderfully as a community helping each other.
Have an Amazing Day!
Christy

Important Survey

I need your input! Please! We have had a request that through the winter months we change pick up day to Tuesday to help the farmers who are not in the immediate area to combine their trips with Sewanee’s pick up day.

What do you think? Will this work for you? Please email or call me back. I would like to make the change the week after Thanksgiving or Thanksgiving week, so need your input as soon as possible.

Thank You so much! We are grateful for friends and customers like you!
